Coach Washington can be described as organized, fun loving, articulate, energetic, student-focused individual with proven expertise in motivating youth to achieve goals, while also prioritizing and strategizing for successful programs. He holds students, parents, and staff in high esteem, and interacts with the greatest degree of professionalism and personal integrity.
Coach Washington has been involved in basketball at multiple levels. From coaching youth teams in Northern Virginia, to coaching women’s basketball at the college level. He has been active and well respected in the basketball community for many years.

Coach Washington was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. He attended high school at Macomber-Whitney VTHS and college at Kent State University. At both educational institutions he played various sports. Coach Washington is married and has five children. His wife of 23 years, Vanessa, is a successful entrepreneur and business woman in the real estate and mortgage industry. He and his family began their start in Virginia Beach in 1992 and relocated to the Northern Virginia region in 1997. Coach Washington has served in the United States Navy and is currently employed with Martha’s Table, one of the well known non-profits in DC, as the Assistant Director of Program Operations.
